What it builds
A text-only signature with inline styles, which Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail keep when you paste it, and a plain-text copy for tools that send text. No images: an image signature can be blocked, shows as an attachment in some clients, and adds a file to every email. Phones are rewritten in the (XXX) XXX-XXXX format with a tap-to-call link when they are valid US numbers; the website is reduced to its domain.
For cold email
- Include a postal address: CAN-SPAM requires one in commercial email.
- Keep links few: each one is in every email, and spam filters count links.
- Use the same name and company as the From line, so the email identifies you.
